Pamoja - Family Assistance Ministries HOUSTON

PAMOJA MEANS "TOGETHER" IN SWAHILI

Pamoja is building empowered community among refugees, immigrants, and local Houstonians by connecting refugee and immigrant families to Houstonian families to learn from each other and create mutual aid groups. The program helps identify and address gaps and opportunities to help each participant and their family become successful and fully integrated in their community. Simply put, neighbors are journeying together through life’s ups & downs.

Pamoja is FAM’s newest initiative establishing Houston’s companioning model that bridges gaps for newcomers and locals across faith traditions in the metroplex.

Dream Catcher Stables

We partner with Dream Catcher Stables to provide Lian Dante Foundation unique opportunities to participate in Theraputic riding.

Our University Partners

We partner with universities whose Social Work Programs align with The Lian Dante Foundation's vision and mission. The accredited programs from our partner universities help aspiring social work leaders develop the skills and knowledge needed to serve clients in diverse communities across the country.

Field education is a critical part of the social work curriculum for both on-campus and online MSW students. Graduate students in MSW programs with the Lian Dante Foundation provide online and on site services to students, parents/guardians and educators. Additionally, students may help write grants, develop curriculum, support community outreach projects and lead social media efforts!
